Unification–Reduction Closure Equation: C(x, u) Unified Scale via Zulfia Mapping
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Classical convexity f (x) − f (u) ≥ ∇f T (x − u) and invexity f (x) − f (u) ≥ ∇f T ηprovide no measurable scale for mapping distortion, and no unified closure equationfor optimization, statistics, and equilibrium analysis.We invent such a scale. From Zulfia decomposition Z(x, u) = η(x, u) + ∆(x, u)and residual R(x, u) = f (x) − f (u) − ∇f T Z, we define the Unification-ReductionClosure (URC) quantity:C(x, u) = R(x, u) + |∆(x, u)|, C = 0 ⇐⇒ R = 0, ∆ = 0This scale did not exist before. It provides a single computable certificate foroptimality, statistical consistency, Nash verification, and invariant preservation.Classical R ≥ 0 is its projection, while |R| + ∥∆∥ < ϵ is directly implementable.We establish C(x, u) as the first unified scale for structural closure.
