Abstract: هدفت الدراسة إلى التعرف على الصعوبات التي تواجِه معلمي اللغة الإنجليزية في تدريس مهارة الاستماع لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية والحلول المقترحة لها من وجهة نظر المعلمين، واعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي المسحي، وقد تم استخدام الاستبانة أداة للدراسة، من خلال توزيع استبانة إلكترونية على مجتمع الدراسة المكون من معلمي اللغة الانجليزية للمرحلة الثانوية بإدارة تعليم القويعية، حيث بلغت عينة الدراسة (34) معلماً. وقد توصلت الدراسة إلى عدد من النتائج، كان أهمها: أنَّ أفراد عينة الدراسة موافقون بدرجةٍ (كبيرة) على مستوى الصعوبات التي تواجه معلمي اللغة الإنجليزية في تدريس مهارة الاستماع لطلاب المرحلة الثانوية من وجهة نظر المعلمين بمتوسط حسابي يساوي 3.80 من 5)، حيث حصل محور الصعوبات المتعلِّقة بالطلاب على المرتبة الأولى وبمتوسط حسابي يساوي (4.37)، وجاء محور الصعوبات المتعلِّقة بالبيئة المدرسية في المرتبة الثانية بمتوسط حسابي يساوي 4.26، وحصل محور الصعوبات المتعلِّقة بالمقرَّر في المرتبة الثالثة بمتوسط حسابي يساوي 3.57، في حيث جاء محور الصعوبات المتعلِّقة بطرق التدريس في المرتبة الرابعة بمتوسط حسابي يساوي 3.51، وأخيراً جاء محور الصعوبات المتعلِّقة بالمعلِّمين في المرتبة الخامسة بمتوسط حسابي يساوي 3.30. وفي ضوء ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج أوصى الباحث بعدد من التوصيات من أهمها: الاستفادة من تجارب الدول المتقدمة في تضمين مهارة الاستماع عند تطوير محتوى كتب اللغة الإنجليزية، وتطوير الأساليب أو البرامج التي تهدف إلى تعزيز المواقف الإيجابية تجاه تعلم اللغة الإنجليزية. The study aims to identify the difficulties that English language teachers face while teaching listening skills to secondary school students and to present the proposed solutions from teachers' perspectives. The study adopted a descriptive survey method, and used a questionnaire as a tool for the study. An electronic questionnaire was distributed to the study population, which consisted of all English language teachers for secondary school students. The study sample consisted of 34 participants. The study reached several results, the most important of which were as follows: The study sample highly agreed on the level of difficulties that English language teachers face while teaching listening skills to secondary school students, with a mean of 3.80 out of 5. The difficulties related to students ranked first with a mean of 4.37, followed by difficulties related to the school environment in second place with a mean of 4.26 followed by difficulties related to the curriculum in third place with a mean of 3.57, while difficulties related to teaching methods in fourth place with a mean of 3.51, and finally, difficulties related to teachers in fifth place with a mean of 3.30. The study provided a number of recommendations, including proposing strategies to improve administrative support, such as professional development opportunities, curriculum alignment, resource allocation, and the development and implementation of targeted training programs to enhance teachers' proficiency in teaching listening skills.
