Abstract: The primary of aim of this thesis was to further develop and evaluate telehealth methods to improve access and quality of cognitive assessment and rehabilitation. This included the adaption and validation of a commonly used cognitive assessment battery, the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale, for administration via telehealth. An evaluation of emerging telehealth-based memory rehabilitation techniques for people with acquired brain injury was also undertaken, with preliminary findings highlighting encouraging post-intervention memory improvements. Overall, this thesis provides valuable insights into how telehealth can facilitate improved service access for people with cognitive impairments, particularly those in underserved communities.
