UDCT v5.57: O8 Compactness Screening Design Note (Not a Registration)
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: Design note, not a registration and not a result. No O8 gate has been passed. The original O8 statement (internal versus external baryons) fails D2: assigning each baryon to a “system” is not local and cannot be written as an action density.A local candidate is the dimensionless compactness X = c²|∇g|/|g|². At fixed |g|, X is much larger in the solar external-field region than in SPARC disks, so a switch that is Newtonian for X ≳ X* can in principle screen Cassini and Saturn while leaving μ₀ on galaxy scales. A feasible window is 4×10⁸ ≲ X* ≲ 4×10¹⁰. That window was located using SPARC baryonic geometry (gbar and its gradient), not rotation velocities or fits; this data use is disclosed and must be carried into any later registration.X* , the switch function, and the new gate D8 (wide binaries, star clusters, ultra-faint dwarfs) are not frozen here. Those belong in a separate pre-registration (v5.58) before any computation.
