Regenerative two-node liquid-metal ring for pulsed magnetized-target fusion: model chain, results and paper draft
Year: 2026
Type: software
Abstract: Reduced model chain for a pulsed fusion architecture in which the mechanical energy of one burn compresses the next target through a closed ring of flowing Pb-17Li. The package contains the quasi-one-dimensional ring solver, the rotating liquid liner with cavitating ports, the zero-dimensional D-T burn coupled to the liner, the compressible launch model with the OpenMC neutron deposition profile, the nonlinear free-surface rebound solver, the cavity refill model and the closed-loop return map with the real launch waveform, together with every result table and figure, comment-free copies of the scripts and the manuscript draft. The chain runs end to end in about twenty minutes on a laptop plus a few minutes of OpenMC in a container.
