Abstract: The provincial bodies implementing the policy of the Youth Falanges and Enrolment Sections that emerged during the Spanish post-war period sought to intervene in childhood and youth according to their social and geographical situation. After compulsory schooling, the control of adolescents was supervised by the urban centres in the context of urban workers. Here we focus on the “Rural Homes”, which were national meeting and training centres of the Youth Front (FJ) and served as a point of reference for rural youth. In addition to the moral values inherent in the organisation’s structure, the construction of buildings of different types and variants was proposed, with a hierarchical and functional interior layout, and with exteriors in which propaganda and symbolism were their characteristic hallmarks.
