Abstract: How and why Psychoanalysis, as a theoretical and practical-clinical knowledge, could intertwine with the paradigm of an alleged Utopia of Social Justice, is the questioning that guides the present article. Apparently, a significant part of the psychoanalytic movement has shown itself to have distanced itself from such a concern. With the purpose of re-centering it, once again, in necessary reflections, we will take as the guiding thread of this article the speech delivered by Sigmund Freud during the V International Psychoanalytical Congress in 1918.
