Abstract: Rarely an artist has the possibility to design an urban space with entire creative liberty, just guided by his instinct and inspiration. Alcalde Gonzalo Ordóñez sculpture park, sites in O Porriño (Pontevedra), was created by the artist Vicente Vazquez Canónico (Gijón, 1937) with the approval of the local council in the early 1990s. This paper is about the creative and constructive process of a work that highlights the diffuse limits between Architecture, Art, and Urbanism, and that due to its singularity becomes one of the few of its kind in our country, yet to be recognized and valued.
