Lo crudo y lo cocido
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Tribes that are not familiar with cooking food, of course, do not have a word in their language to say 'kitchen' or 'cooking,' and consequently, they do not use the word to say 'raw,' as the concept cannot be characterised. Similarly, for a long time, humans remained unaware of the weight or atmospheric pressure surrounding them, lacking a reference point to compare it to. Therefore, to grasp the real, it is necessary beforehand to be able to abstract from lived experiences. Observation may give rise to debate about 'what is real,' but it is evident that new experiences allow for the development of new paradigms. New experiments or discoveries condition not only our knowledge but also our way of thinking.
