Abstract: Data and analysis code supporting the study “Sociality shapes the evolution of the immune system across birds.” The study compares positive selection on immune genes across 48 bird species spanning 18 independent origins of kin-based cooperative breeding. The repository includes input datasets, sequence-analysis outputs, R scripts, intermediate and final results, figures and supplementary tables. Analyses examine immune-gene selection, co-selection networks, functional pathway enrichment and associations with breeding system, group size and within-group relatedness. Raw sequencing reads are deposited separately, with accession numbers provided in the README.
