Wearable EEG and Behavioral Monitoring for Daylong Psychotherapeutic Support in Drug Addiction: Activating the Soul's Pro-Recovery Mechanisms
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: This paper proposes a novel medical device for the psychotherapeutic treatment of outpatient drug-addicts. The device has a wearable EEG recording headset and a synchronously working, necklace-held medallion for collecting audiovisual data on the patient's environment and social interactions while also allowing two-way device-patient communications. The objective of the system is threefold. First, it extends the patient's typically short daily psychotherapeutic treatment for all waking hours. Second, it helps to activate the protective mechanisms of the patient's Soul. The two-way communication system of the device can specifically generate the "illuminating vision" for the user that lets his or her Soul's Will initiate the final hard steps toward full and permanent freedom from drugs. The third objective is that however the device's absolutely private use is done with internet-free data exchanges with a USB flash drive, once the treatment is completed the device assists in the creation of a worldwide community of former users to help other addicts.
