Year: 2026
Type: dissertation
Abstract: This thesis provides a comprehensive exploration of the challenges and innovations in the recovery and rehabilitation of intensive care unit (ICU) survivors, with a particular focus on ICU-acquired weakness (ICUAW) and post-intensive care syndrome (PICS). The work is organized into several chapters, each addressing a critical aspect of patient assessment, intervention, and long-term outcomes, and collectively aiming to bridge the gap between research evidence and clinical practice in critical care recovery.
