Abstract: This study investigates Family Structure, Family Size and Tendency for Secondary School Students Cult Activities in Calabar Education Zone Cross River State, Nigeria. To achieve the purpose of the study, two hypotheses were formulated and tested at 0.05 level of significance. Related literatures were reviewed according to the variables of the study. An ex-post facto (causal-comparative) research design was employed for the study. The population of the study consists of 6553 Senior secondary school students in SS1 students, from which a sample of 649 students was selected using stratified and simple random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a researcher-developed questionnaire titled Family Structure, Family size and Tendency for Cult Activities Questionnaire (FSFSTCAQ). Data collected from respondents were subjected to statistical analysis using independent t-test analysis and One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The results of the analysis revealed that, family structure and family size has a significant influence on students’ tendency for cult activities. Based on the findings of the study, the researcher concluded that family structure and family size significantly influence the tendency for secondary school students’ cult activities in Calabar Education Zone. The findings underscore the need for targeted interventions by parents, educators, and policymakers to support at-risk students, promote family stability, and enhance school-based prevention programs. The study advances understanding of contextual factors associated with cultism and highlights priorities for preventive strategies in Nigerian secondary schools.
