Abstract: To discuss communication and gerontology from an ethical perspective is to recognize the possibility of integrating two areas that can be actively linked. While communication is a process of exchanging information, gerontology is a science that studies the aging process. Taking as a reference that both are processes, this essay aims to reflect on communication and gerontology as human processes from an ethical perspective. Based on this idea, the documentary research proposed by Ruiz and Alvarado (2020) is adopted as a method to compile and qualitatively reflect on articles related to these categories or central themes. The study concluded that: 1. There is a close relationship between ethics, communication, and gerontology at the social, biological, and psychological levels, and 2. It guarantees the development of new ways of understanding older adults as human beings capable of visualizing themselves immersed in these three categories. Reading and sharing these results is recommended.
