Topological Organization of Inhabitants Activity In Primary Visual Cortex: Examining the structured spontaneous activity in the primary visual cortex
Year: 2011
Type: article
Abstract: Information in the cortex is widely believed to berepresented by the joint activity of neuronal populations. Developing insightsinto the nature of these representations is a necessary first step in our questto understanding cortical computation. Our analyses confirm that spontaneousactivity is highly structured and statistically different from noise. Our analysesconfirm that spontaneous activity is highly structured and statisticallydifferent from noise.
