Integração da inteligência artificial generativa a metodologias ativas no ensino superior: uma revisão de escopo
Year: 2026
Type: article
Study design: Systematic Review
Abstract: Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) gained prominence from 2022 on ward with the launch of ChatGPT, whose rapid adoption intensified educational debates. This study conducted a scoping review to map recent research on the topic. A total of 23 studies were included after a systematic search and screening process in indexed databases. The general objective was to identify how generative artificial intelligence has been incorporated into active learning methodologies in higher education. The results indicate a predominance of practices such as gamification, project-based learning, team based learning, and flipped classroom approaches, supported mainly using ChatGPT. The observed effects include increased student motivation, participation, and interaction, as well as improvements in academic performance and technical skill development, with high levels of student acceptance. However, issues related to ethics and equity were only minimally addressed, highlighting risks such as technological dependency, bias reproduction, and unequal access. Common methodological limitations include small sample sizes, short intervention periods, and insufficient teacher training. It is concluded that the integration of GenAI and active learning methodologies shows pedagogical potential, but its consolidation requires comparative and longitudinal studies, institutional policies for responsible use, and faculty development programs that foster critical analysis of AI outputs and clear ethical guidelines to ensure sustainable practices in higher education.
