Abstract: FINDING: Ramanujan's tau function τ(n) exhibits deep congruences modulo 691, linking modular forms, the Leech lattice, and Bernoulli numbers through the Eisenstein series E₁₂. | MATH: τ(n) ≡ σ₁₁(n) (mod 691), where σ₁₁(n) = Σ_{d|n} d¹¹. This arises from the identity Δ = (E₄³ − E₆²)/1728, and the constant 691 appears as the numerator of the Bernoulli number B₁₂ = −691/2730. The Leech lattice connection: the theta series of the Leech lattice is Θ_Λ₂₄ = E₁₂ − (65520/691)Δ, forcing the congruence. | CONNECTION: The number 691 is prime and relates to the denominator of B₁₂; the Leech lattice is the unique even unimodular lattice in 24 dimensions with no roots, its theta series coefficients are integers only because 691 divides 65520. This is a modular form congruence, not a golden-ratio or base-60 link, but the lattice structure (root system D₂₄, Weyl group) is crystallographic. | DEPTH: 8 — profound because it ties arithmetic (Bernoulli numbers), modular forms (Δ), and lattice theory (Leec Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
