Year: 2025
Type: article
Study design: Clinical Trial
Abstract: This study explores the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Project-Based Learning (PBL) to enhance collaboration and creativity skills among secondary school students. A total of 35 Grade 11 students participated in an AI-based PBL intervention, where they engaged in AI-driven projects, received personalized feedback, and worked collaboratively in teams. Data was collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in students' skills, alongside qualitative feedback from interviews. The results showed a significant improvement in students' collaboration and creativity skills, with the average test score increasing by 17.51 points, supported by a p-value of 0.000, indicating statistical significance. The qualitative feedback from students highlighted that AI tools facilitated communication, supported real-time problem-solving, and boosted creative thinking. The findings suggest that AI-enhanced PBL is an effective method for fostering essential 21st-century skills, with recommendations for broader integration of AI in education, teacher training, and addressing technical barriers to ensure equitable access for all students.
