Abstract: The chapter explores how fashion-related initiatives contribute to everyday peace and comfort. It examines how various participants in the fashion ecosystem respond to political, social, and ecological challenges through creative and ethical engagement. Building on the understanding of sustainability as nurturing ecological integrity, social well-being, and inclusion, and on the idea of the wider agency of fashion actors, the study situates fashion practices within the broader frameworks of positive peace, space for peace, and comfort. It analyses activities that reveal fashion’s potential to communicate values, build social capital, and reshape spaces into more inclusive and empathetic environments by approaching fashion as a mediator of embodied comfort in public space.
