Abstract: Dangerous exploitation of the risk of an Ebola virus disease outbreak in Mayotte Mayotte, a French department located in the Indian Ocean, is experiencing high levels of uncontrolled immigration, including individuals arriving from the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. A new Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus has been reported there. This situation has created significant tension among Mayotte's residents, which is being politically exploited.
