Synthesis of withaferin a derivatives and exploratory evaluation of weight reduction and fasting blood glucose in DIO mice

Abstract: Withaferin A and 14 derivatives were evaluated in diet-induced obese mice. Most derivatives led to smaller reductions in body weight and fasting blood glucose than the parent, providing preliminary in vivo structure–activity data.
