The Ahimsa Protocol: Non-Harm Mechanics and Structural Stability in the Covenant of Custody

Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: This paper introduces "The Ahimsa Protocol," an operator-theoretic mathematical framework that models non-harm, environmental stewardship, and ethical boundary conditions as necessary stability metrics within spiritual and structural systems. Building upon non-self-adjoint operator calculus in Hilbert space, the manuscript demonstrates that unconstrained spiritual, legal, or institutional systems generate pseudospectral energy growth and state-space collapse when isolated from grounding boundary conditions. By conducting a comparative structural analysis across major theological traditions, the study identifies a convergent mathematical mechanism: Jainism's Anekantavada, Islamic eco-stewardship (Hima and Khalifa), Catholic sacramental custody, and Buddhist Karuna function not as arbitrary moral mandates, but as dissipative boundary operators (P_Ahimsa) designed to suppress field noise and maintain systemic equilibrium. The work bridges formal functional analysis with comparative theology to provide an objective, non-sectarian framework for analyzing systemic stability, non-violence, and custodial ethics.
