NEW GUESTS. VESTIBULE and EARTHGUARD (MOON3)

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Earth has a Moon — and it is anomalous. Its mass is a hundred times above the norm for a satellite. Its distance is three times farther. The system's angular momentum is two orders of magnitude higher than any other. And it is the only known place in the Universe where the same satellite produces both classes of eclipse. Four independent parameters, each a deviation; together — a package. Noise produces isolated oddities; the package is a signature. The assembly cost: 10²⁹–10³² joules — a class beyond known biosphere activity. The work does not claim "created"; it establishes an account. And the Moon's function is not merely to light the night. It steadily patrols, filters, sweeps, holds Earth's axis, and keeps an archive of collisions: this is the most powerful active planetary defense system, operating for four and a half billion years without maintenance and without an owner. The visits of guests recur — the frequency is calculated from a dated page of the log. The door is known, the schedule is two times, the finale is a swarm. It is forbidden to destroy (a swarm is worse than the whole); it is permitted to steer (the Moon will do it itself). It makes reasonable sense to reconsider the goal-setting of military budgets.
