Recent Advances in Exploration Geophysics

Year: 2026
Type: book
Abstract: This Special Issue reprint opens with a concise editorial that explains how data-intensive tools are reshaping exploration geophysics. The peer-reviewed papers cover deep-learning seismic imaging, 3D gravity–magnetic inversion, fibre-optic sensing, induced-polarisation tracking of contaminants, satellite geodesy of ground subsidence, and the first appraisal of lunar volatiles. Together they show how integrated, high-performance workflows deliver faster, clearer views of the subsurface to support responsible resource use, environmental protection, and future space missions.
