Study design: Observational Study
Abstract: Agricultural enterprises in the Province of Rizal face persistent supply chain challenges, including fragmented supplier networks, inadequate post-harvest infrastructure, and limited coordination across production and distribution stages. This study assessed supply chain management (SCM) practices and their relationship with the non-financial business performance of agri-farm businesses in Rizal. Specifically, it examined SCM implementation using the Supply Chain Operations Reference (SCOR) Model dimensions of Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and Return, alongside business performance indicators comprising cost efficiency, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Employing a quantitative descriptive-correlational research design, the study involved 342 respondents, consisting of 57 agri-farm owners, managers, and supervisors and 285 customers selected through stratified sampling. Data were collected using a validated five-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed through weighted means, analysis of variance (ANOVA), and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Findings revealed that SCM practices were implemented to a high extent, with Source receiving the highest assessment and Return the lowest. Business performance was likewise rated high, particularly in customer satisfaction. ANOVA indicated no significant differences in SCM assessments across demographic profiles, while significant differences emerged between respondent groups regarding business performance evaluations. Pearson correlation established a significant positive relationship between SCM practices and business performance, with Deliver and Return demonstrating the strongest associations with cost efficiency. The findings highlight the importance of delivery reliability and reverse logistics in improving agribusiness performance. The study provides a SCOR-based framework to guide agri-farm operators, cooperative managers, and policymakers in strengthening supply chain efficiency, operational competitiveness, and sustainable agricultural business development within the province.
