Abstract: Algorithmic management (AM) and artificial intelligence (AI) are new management techniques that are profoundly transforming the world of work. AM and AI open up vast possibilities for automating sectors that have so far been little affected by standardization. The most significant impact of the digital revolution has been the increasing digitalization of all work processes. AI represents nothing less than a new employment relationship in which employees transfer all their skills to an automated system without receiving any compensation and even contribute to the elimination of their own jobs. All these transformations are taking place without the participation of workers. The article examines the efforts of the EU and the Spanish government to regulate this labor transition and guarantee digital rights. The main challenge, however, lies in bringing these rights to the workplaces, where detailed and effective regulations are still rare.
