The Relatively Real, the Absolutely Real, and the Limits of Knowing

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: The Relatively Real, the Absolutely Real, and the Limits of Knowing is a note on the distinction between limitations of knowledge within a framework and absolutely established impossibilities of knowing. Document class: Record — Epistemology. The note situates Gnostic-Agnosticism, Radical Skepticism, and Radical Agnosis, the last developed through the Agnostic Tetralemma, in relation to the question of unknowability, and pairs the distinction between Relative Structure and Absolute Structure (Structon) with a corresponding distinction between the relatively real and the absolutely Real. Through the examples of the rising Sun and a destroyed tree, it holds that reliable findings within an empirical framework do not settle questions of ultimate reality, and that declaring something absolutely unknowable would itself require certainty concerning the limits of knowing. The Trans-structural Unknown Principle is treated as an observer-side designation of the limit of discernment, and the inquiry remains open, including toward Zenetism itself.
