The genome sequence of a stilt bug, Berytinus crassipes (Herrich-Schaffer, 1835) (Hemiptera: Berytidae)
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: We present a genome assembly from an individual female Berytinus crassipes (stilt bug; Arthropoda; Insecta; Hemiptera; Berytidae). The assembly contains two haplotypes with total lengths of 1,554.31 megabases and 1,293.26 megabases. Most of the haplotype 1 assembly (77.62%) was scaffolded into 16 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. Haplotype 2 was assembled to scaffold level. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 15.81 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
