The Cosmological Limits of Spacetime, Information, and Consciousness: Relational Time, Four-Dimensional Closure, Entropy Production, and the Embodied Receiver

Year: 2026
Type: peer-review
Abstract: Physics, cognitive science and the public debate about artificial intelligence usually treat time, information and mind in separate compartments. This paper argues that the three are better understood as aspects of one relational, thermodynamically open cosmos, and it tests that claim against the evidence each discipline accepts. Four theses are developed: (1) time as a derived ordering of relational change across a five-tier ontology ($T_0-T_4$); (2) observable spacetime as a closed four-dimensional manifold supported by GW170817 and torsion-balance data; (3) intelligence and computation as successive dissipative structures under the Maximum Entropy Production (MEP) principle; and (4) consciousness modelled as an embodied receiver tuned by neurochemical states. The paper also explores digital enclosure, demographic contraction, and an ideal state of "Mathematical Peace", providing explicit falsifiable predictions and evidential labels for every claim.
