New records of Lysimachia (Primulaceae) to the flora of Manipur, Northeast India

Abstract: This study provides the first comprehensive taxonomic account of six Lysimachia Tourn. ex L. species (Primulaceae) from Manipur, Northeast India: L. candida Lindl., L. congestiflora Hemsl., L. deltoidea Wight, L. evalvis Wall., L. japonica Thunb., and L. lobelioides Wall. Detailed morphological descriptions are supplemented by diagnostic colour photographs and a dichotomous artificial key to facilitate identification of regional species. Furthermore, the ethnobotanical significance and horticultural potential of these taxa are evaluated, highlighting their value as ornamental genetic resources.
