Abstract: Children with special needs have diverse characteristics and learning needs; therefore, educational activities should be adapted to each child’s condition and abilities. This program aimed to provide educational assistance through adaptive learning activities for a child with special needs who had not yet attended formal education in Jagir Hamlet, Tlogoagung Village, Baureno District, Bojonegoro Regency, Indonesia. The program, called TEMAN (Temani Belajar, Kenali Kemampuan), was implemented as part of the LENTERA Thematic Community Service Program over three weeks, comprising nine sessions. Activities included vocabulary and object recognition, following simple instructions, and encouraging attention and engagement through educational plastic-bottle media and educational videos. Observations showed that the child responded situationally by paying attention to learning media or videos, following some simple instructions, and exploring objects. However, the child’s attention and engagement remained inconsistent; therefore, the observations did not provide sufficient evidence to conclude that the child’s abilities had improved measurably. Meanwhile, questionnaire results from two family members yielded individual scores of 85.42% and 72.92%, with a combined score of 79.17%, exceeding the program target of 75%. This combined score reflects the family’s assessment of their understanding, assistance, perceived program benefits, and potential for continuing the activities; it is not a measure of improvement in the child’s abilities. The program’s practical contribution was to provide simple, adaptive educational activities suited to the child’s condition and introduce them to the family for potential use at home.
