Abstract: Learning concentration is a key factor in successful learning at the elementary school level. However, several third-grade students at SDN 52 Parabaya, North Onang Village, Tubo Sendana District, Majene Regency, Indonesia, demonstrated low levels of concentration, as evidenced by talking during lessons, playing independently, daydreaming, failing to follow instructions attentively, and taking longer to complete assignments. This classroom action research aimed to describe the implementation of ice-breaking activities during instruction, assess improvements in students’ learning concentration from the pre-action stage through Cycle II, and identify implementation challenges and corresponding improvements. The study was conducted in two cycles, each comprising planning, action, observation, and reflection, involving all students in the third-grade class. Data were collected through learning concentration observation sheets, documentation, and teacher reflection notes, and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative methods. The findings revealed that the proportion of students achieving a good level of concentration increased from 36.36% at the pre-action stage to 63.64% in Cycle I and 81.82% in Cycle II, thereby exceeding the predetermined success criterion of 75%. The novelty of this study lies in the structured implementation of ice-breaking activities aligned with lesson content and assessed using five learning concentration indicators among third-grade elementary school students in Tubo Sendana District. This approach offers a practical and sustainable model that teachers can incorporate into classroom instruction to support students’ learning concentration.
