Abstract: Fine motor development and collaborative skills are two crucial developmental aspects that should be stimulated from an early age particularly in children aged 5–6 to serve as a foundation for primary school readiness. This Community Service Program (KKN) initiative integrates the cultivation of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) with a Montessori-inspired approach, utilizing "practical life" and "sensorial" activities as tools for stimulation. The primary objective is to foster fine motor development in children aged 5–6, supported by sensorial experiences and collaborative tasks, through the process of planting medicinal herbs. The project also evaluates changes in the children's abilities before and after the intervention. The participants consisted of 24 children from "Group B" (kindergarten level). Following the planting activities structured according to Montessori’s "practical life" framework fine motor skill proficiency increased from 78.8% to 93.8%, and collaborative skills rose from 82.8% to 99.5%. Consequently, the operational success indicators for the program were met, though two children still require further stimulation. The findings suggest that gardening activities, rooted in local wisdom, hold significant potential as a holistic learning medium for young children.
