Abstract: This study was motivated by the high prevalence of nomophobia or anxiety caused by separation from smartphones among adolescents, which is driven by irrational beliefs amidst gadget restriction policies in East Java schools. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) in reducing nomophobia among high school students using a True Experimental design (Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design). The population involved 59 Grade X and XI students at SMAN 1 Jetis Ponorogo, with a sample of 14 students selected via purposive sampling and randomly assigned into an REBT experimental group (N=7) and a Systematic Desensitization control group (N=7). Data were collected using a 36-item valid NMP-Q scale (Cronbach's Alpha = 0.889) and analyzed using Independent Samples T-Test (Equal Variances Not Assumed / Welch's t-test). Hypothesis testing on posttest data revealed t-value = 2.369 (p = 0.045 < 0.05), with mean posttest scores of 92.43 for the experimental group and 84.00 for the control group. In conclusion, REBT intervention based on the A–B–C–D–E–F–G framework is proven significantly effective in reducing nomophobia through cognitive deep restructuring from irrational beliefs to effective new beliefs.
