Abstract: This study examines the effects of workload, work-family conflict, and perceived organizational support on the emotional exhaustion of officers at Class IIB Bireuen Correctional Institution. A quantitative approach with total sampling involved 63 officers. Questionnaire data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS. The measurement model was evaluated through outer loadings, convergent validity, construct reliability, and discriminant validity. The structural model was assessed using collinearity, coefficient of determination, effect size, and bootstrapping. Workload has no significant effect on emotional exhaustion (β = 0.240; t = 1.374; p = 0.169). Work-family conflict has a positive and significant effect (β = 0.310; t = 2.487; p = 0.013), while perceived organizational support has a negative and significant effect (β = −0.393; t = 2.398; p = 0.017). The model explains 53.2% of the variance in emotional exhaustion. The findings highlight the importance of strengthening organizational support and addressing work-family conflict among correctional officers. Other factors outside the model still need to be studied.
