Abstract: Learning activity and classroom conduciveness are important aspects of Pancasila Education. However, off-task behavior and uneven student engagement may interfere with the learning process. This study aimed to describe changes in learning activity and classroom conduciveness following the implementation of a gamified Team Games Tournament (TGT) model among Grade VIII.1 students at SMP Negeri 21 Malang. The study employed a classroom action research approach conducted in two cycles, each consisting of a 3 × 40-minute lesson. The intervention involved group work, problem-solving missions, case cards, games or quizzes, group presentations, a point system, and rewards. Data were drawn from baseline records, cycle observations, self-reflection scores, and a post-learning questionnaire. The data were analyzed descriptively while preserving the differences in measurement units and acknowledging the limitations of the available records. Recorded discussion participation increased from 50% in Cycle I to 90% in Cycle II. The number of recorded requests to leave the classroom during teacher explanations decreased from 15 to 5, while the number of students recorded as changing seats or engaging in off-topic conversations decreased from 16 to 5. Nevertheless, inconsistencies were found between the records of serious attention and off-task behavior in Cycle II. Differences in the maximum group-observation scores and duplicate questionnaire responses also limited the interpretation of the findings. The results indicate positive developments in several indicators but are insufficient to establish consistent improvement across all aspects of learning activity and classroom conduciveness.
