MSW-optimization: A Multi-City Decision-Support Framework for Diagnosing the Binding Constraint on Circular-Economy Transitions of Municipal Solid Waste Systems (reproducibility package)
Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Reproducibility package (Revision 2, four-city version) for the manuscript Composition, Not Capacity: ... (Sustainability, manuscript 4586449). Final model caliber: M1 annualized unit capital costs with composition constraints (x5 ≤ RC, x3+x4 ≤ O) and effective recycling ceiling min(Cap5/W, RC). data/ — compiled municipal input data for Xiamen, Fuzhou, Ningbo, and Huangshi (waste quantities, pathway costs and revenues, capacities, composition, emission factors) with parameter-by-parameter source attribution. experiment/ + Workspace/experiments/ — full analysis pipeline: model definition, exact LP fronts (vertex enumeration + epsilon-constraint), NSGA-II, entropy-weighted TOPSIS (per-scenario and common fixed weights), LHS/OAT sensitivity, and R5/E5-avoid boundary scans. asc_results/ — all result files underlying the main-text figures (Fig 2-7) and Supplementary Tables S2-S15, including the R2 figure set (600 dpi PDF/PNG). See README_REPRO.md for the file manifest, the shortest run order from raw data to Table S3, and the paper-artifact → code → data map. Runtime: Python 3.12 (see requirements.txt).
