Abstract: This article analyzes the epizootological status of the main intestinal cestodiases occurring in sheep and goats—monieziasis, thysanieziasis, avitellinosis, and stilesiosis—as well as the morphological characteristics of their causative agents and the extent to which these diseases have been studied worldwide and in Uzbekistan. Based on the results of relevant studies, the article examines the economic damage caused by these helminth infections to livestock production, age-related and seasonal patterns of disease incidence, regional prevalence, and the significance of diagnostic and preventive measures.
