Abstract: This study aims to examine the relationship between positive thinking and self-confidence among female students in the Elementary School Teacher Education Program (PGSD) at Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. The study employed a quantitative correlational approach. Data were collected using Likert-type attitude scales: a positive thinking scale based on Albrecht’s framework and a self-confidence scale based on Lauster’s framework. Data analysis employed Pearson’s correlation. The study sample consisted of 131 active female students aged 18–25 years, selected using purposive sampling. The results of the analysis indicated a very strong and significant positive relationship between positive thinking and self-confidence (r = 0.817; p < 0.001). The coefficient of determination was R² = 0.667, indicating that self-confidence accounts for 66.7% of the variance in positive thinking. These results suggest that female college students with high levels of self-confidence tend to have better positive thinking skills when facing academic and social challenges in college.
