Abstract: The aim of this study is to examine the effect of the “Future Design Family Education Program,” developed by the Ministry of National Education, on the career-related behaviors of parents of gifted students. The study was conducted with 24 parents of gifted children at a Science and Art Centre in Istanbul, Türkiye. A 2×2 factorial quasi-experimental design with experimental and control groups based on pre-test and post-test measurements was used in the study. Within the scope of the study, the psychoeducation program, consisting of eight 40-minute sessions, was delivered to the experimental group by the researcher, whereas no intervention was applied to the control group. To evaluate the effectiveness of the program, the Career-Related Parental Behaviors Scale–Parent Form and a personal information form were used as data collection instruments. The data were analysed using paired-samples t-test and independent-samples t-test through SPSS 25. The findings indicated that the career-related parental behaviors of the parents in the experimental group significantly increased in the post-test compared with their pre-test scores. The results show that the psychoeducation program was effective in improving career-related parental behaviors among parents of gifted children.
