Abstract: This article provides a theoretical and methodological analysis of pedagogical mechanisms for developing students’ scientific subjectivity based on the integration of academic freedom and research activity in higher education. Academic freedom is interpreted as an institutional and pedagogical factor that fosters independent thinking, critical analysis, reflective abilities, and scientific initiative. Research activity is substantiated as a systemic pedagogical process that ensures the transformation of students into active subjects of cognition. Within the framework of the study, emphasis is placed on the development of a conceptual model integrating academic freedom and research activity, and its cognitive, motivational-axiological, activity-based, and reflective components are identified. The pedagogical mechanisms aimed at developing students’ scientific subjectivity are systematized.
