Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: Background: Inclusion in early childhood education requires changes in planning, pedagogical mediation, assessment, and classroom organization so that diversity does not become a barrier to learning. In UGEL Arequipa Sur, the relationship between teachers’ management of inclusive strategies and learning outcomes requires context-specific empirical estimation. Objective: To analyze the relationship between teachers’ management of inclusion strategies and learning among early childhood students and to establish a methodological protocol capable of generating valid evidence for decision-making. Method: An analytical review of scientific and policy literature was integrated with a quantitative, non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational protocol. The teacher-classroom is proposed as the primary unit of analysis; inclusive management would be measured through a multidimensional questionnaire, while learning would be assessed through documented pedagogical evidence in communication, mathematics, personal-social development, and psychomotor development. Results (from the documentary synthesis): The documentary analysis converges on four mechanisms: flexible and accessible planning, active participation, formative assessment with differentiated supports, and collaboration among teachers, families, and support services. The literature indicates that professional development, teacher self-efficacy, and high-quality interactions support more inclusive practice; however, differences in design and context prevent transferring a single effect size to UGEL Arequipa Sur. Conclusion: There is sufficient theoretical and empirical support to expect a positive association, but its local magnitude must be tested with field data —with prior approval from an ethics committee— while accounting for students nested within classrooms and for attendance, group size, teacher experience, and professional development.
