HIstorical aspects of the emergence and development of boogie-woogie as a sport

Abstract: The article presents the results of a systematic review and analysis of the scientific literature aimed at identifying the prerequisites for the emergence and development of Boogie-Woogie as a dance sport worldwide and in Ukraine. It also outlines the key stages in the establishment of its fundamental principles and its historical development. The study identifies the key stages in the emergence, establishment, and development of boogie-woogie as a dance sport, as well as its characteristic features as a sports discipline within the World Rock'n'Roll Confederation. For the first time, a historical periodization (comprising 5 stages) of the emergence and establishment of boogie-woogie as a dance sport is proposed, and the historical aspects of its development globally and in Ukraine are systematized. Prospects for further research. Future research should focus on identifying current trends in the development of boogie-woogie as a sport.
