What the C60 Geometry Forces: An Honest Accounting of the Forced Count
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: The C₆₀ adjacency, read under the full icosahedral group I_h, forces 35 of 45 distinct physical targets. Ten more are conditional on named premises. None is lost, where lost means a value the geometry forces that is contradicted by data in the same frame it was forced in. This paper gives the sorting that produces those three numbers. It states the provenance of the denominator, which is a chosen granularity rather than a number the geometry emits. It gives the one test that decides whether a target belongs in the count at all. A target must either match a measured constant or be the I_h object's own structural question. A target that asks the object to account for its own existence is out of scope. Zero such targets survive in the scored list. It names what is firmly forced. The Standard Model gauge group and three fermion generations are on that list, together with a strong-CP null. So are the neutrino mass ordering and the leptonic CP phase, to within today's bands. So are the powers of the mixing texture, and the dark-sector structure with Ω_dm/Ω_b = 7 - φ. It names what each of the ten conditional targets rides on, premise by premise. And it keeps a second, separate ledger for forward predictions, values staked publicly before the measurement. The two ledgers must never be summed. On that second ledger the framework has staked one value blind and missed it. Section 6 gives the miss, its size, and what it does and does not constrain.
