Abstract: This study aims to describe strategies for improving student discipline, identify the steps involved in implementing a humanistic approach to classroom management, and analyze the contribution of the humanistic approach to enhancing student discipline at SMPIT Insan Mandiri Greenville, Bekasi Regency. This study employed a qualitative approach using a case study method. The participants consisted of five teachers, five students, the school's Director of Education, and students’ parents. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings of this study reveal several important points. First, strategies for improving student discipline were implemented through establishing clear goals and fostering an understanding of the meaning of discipline, developing positive habits, providing teacher role models, applying educational rules and consequences, and strengthening intrinsic motivation through a personal approach. Second, the implementation of the humanistic approach to classroom management was carried out by providing students with autonomy and opportunities for participation, promoting empathetic and open communication, encouraging collaborative learning, respecting individual differences, integrating emotional and cognitive aspects into the learning process, and conducting reflective and constructive evaluations. Third, the humanistic approach contributed positively to the improvement of student discipline, as reflected in the development of intrinsic discipline, increased self-control, responsibility, learning motivation, and more positive relationships between teachers and students. The findings also indicate that discipline developed through a humanistic approach tends to be more sustainable because it is rooted in self-awareness rather than merely in supervision or punishment. In conclusion, the humanistic approach to classroom management at SMPIT Insan Mandiri Greenville contributes positively to improving student discipline. The implementation of this approach not only helps create a conducive and humane classroom environment but also promotes the development of discipline based on students’ self-awareness, making it more sustainable in their daily lives.
