Abstract: Adolescence is a developmental period characterized by changes in physical, psychological,and social aspects, as well as an important process of self-understanding and identitydevelopment. Initial observations and interviews with students and teachers at SMP 3Kecamatan Batipuh Selatan indicated the need to strengthen students’ understanding ofthemselves, particularly in recognizing personal characteristics, identity, gender roles, andthe influence of social stereotypes. This community service activity aimed to providestudents with an opportunity to understand themselves more positively and develop ahealthier understanding of identity through classical guidance services. The activity wasconducted on June 19, 2026, involving 20 eighth-grade students at SMP 3 KecamatanBatipuh Selatan, Kejorongan Baing. The activity was conducted in two meetings, with aduration of 30 minutes for each meeting. The implementation consisted of an openingactivity, delivery of material through PowerPoint presentations and examples, interactivediscussion, question-and-answer sessions, and closing reflection. Data were collectedthrough direct observation, interviews, and documentation. The results showed thatstudents participated actively and responded positively to the activities. Students began todemonstrate an improved understanding of personal characteristics, gender stereotypes,gender roles, and the importance of recognizing themselves without being excessivelyinfluenced by social labels. The activity contributes to preventive guidance and counselingservices by providing students with an appropriate space to understand themselves anddevelop their identities within a supportive educational environment. However, becausethe evaluation was based on qualitative observation and did not use pre-test and post-testinstruments, the findings indicate an initial improvement rather than a statisticallymeasured increase
