Key Components of Digitalization in the External Environment of Enterprises During the Strategizing Process

Year: 2026
Type: article
Abstract: The article examines the key components of digitalization—a priority trend in the development of the global economy and the external environment in which enterprises operate. It is argued that, given the active hostilities in Ukraine, enterprises must account for the specific manifestations of digitalization components within the external environment of the domestic economy. Consequently, the article aims to clarify the prioritization of these digitalization components during the strategizingof enterprise development in wartime, thereby facilitating their practical application. By applying the ABC analysis method and the Pareto principle, the study establishes a hierarchy for the digitalization components of the external environment that should be considered to foster enterprise development. Critical components include the expansion and provision of public services, the revitalization of entrepreneurial activity, and infrastructure reconstruction. Significant components include the restoration of the mental health of employees and the general population, as well as social cohesion. It is noted that prioritizing and integrating these components will support enterprise development and economic recovery during both the war and the post-war period.
