Attachment Dimensions and Experiential Avoidance Among University Students: The Mediating Roles of Self-Compassion and Intolerance of Uncertainty
Year: 2026
Type: preprint
Abstract: This research examines the associations between attachment dimensions (attachment anxiety and attachment avoidance) and experiential avoidance among university students. It also investigates the mediating roles of self-compassion and intolerance of uncertainty in these relationships. The study aims to clarify the potential psychological mechanisms linking attachment-related patterns to experiential avoidance. Data are being collected using standardized self-report measures, and the proposed relationships will be examined through structural equation modeling (SEM).
