Abstract: Academic Integrity is an expectation that should be upheld by everyone in the academic environment. When such expectations are violated, they are termed academic dishonesty. And cheating practice is one such form of dishonesty. This article highlights how cheating practices take place, what the reasons are that cause cheating practices, and how these practices can be restricted. Academic Integrity is the soul of the education system, and therefore, its maintenance would lead to qualitative and effective academic results for the students and ultimately for society as well. Hence, there is a need to build a system that makes the environment where ethical conduct is the foremost priority.
