Abstract: The development of e-commerce, smart manufacturing, and multi-channel logistics has changed the way warehouses operate from traditional static management of inventory to real-time decision-making. Many existing warehouse management systems focus on optimizing warehouse processes independently, such as assigning storage locations to stock-keeping units, replenishing inventory, and dispatching equipment. This can result in unnecessary long picking distances, uneven use of resources, and congestion in automated aisles. To help solve these issues, a method for developing an integrated slotting layout optimization and a system dynamic scheduling for smart warehouse systems is presented. The analysis of the test results shows that the proposed method reduces the expected picking distance, average order completion time, tardiness rates, and congestion in aisles while increasing the efficiency of using warehouse space and the level of reliability provided to customers.
